OEM Remanufacturing:
Machine tools, through
constant use, become less productive and efficient, logging
increased downtime and additional maintenance costs. Goss’
industrial workhorses can be remanufactured to restore their
original realignment specifications and updated with
"state-of-the-art" electronic controls. The advantages of
remanufacturing your existing machine tools, in addition to the
economic factor of replacement, include:
- Productivity Enhancements
- Tooling Interchangeability
- Operator Familiarity
- Existing Maintenance & Service
Knowledge
- Elimination of Obsolete Parts &
Electric’s
Remanufacturing VS.
Rebuilding: While
conventional rebuilding may involve little more than cleaning,
painting, and replacement of broken parts, remanufacturing starts
with complete disassembly down to the bare machine castings. Every
component is thoroughly inspected and compared with the current
design, wherever possible, insuring availability of replacements in
the future.
Through the years,
specifications for replacement parts have become tighter. This is
the reason that, I our remanufacturing process, approximately 85% of
the moving parts are replaced. The replacement of the electrical
controls, updating of the hydraulic system and the installation of
automatic lubrication to the bed ways helps ensure new machine
reliability and performance.
Consider the Options: It is possible to
trade in an existing, aging machine on a comparable remanufactured
unit. This, together with the enhancements, immediate
availability of replacement parts, and the original manufacturing
jigs and fixtures, means satisfaction that only the original machine
tool manufacturer can guarantee.
Safety Requirements: As part of our
remanufacturing, we will automatically install present-day safety
enhancements which we have offered to Goss’ users over the years,
such as 2-hand cycle start, jaw opening restraints, emergency stops,
2-hand chucking control, elimination of foot pedal, etc.
